1. Identify the material. Plastic, polyester, real-touch and silk-style foliage can react differently to water and cleaners. Check any care label first.
2. Remove heavy loose dust. Use a soft brush, microfiber duster or cool, gentle air. Work from the top of the plant downward.
3. Test a hidden area. Before using moisture or any cleaner, test an inconspicuous leaf or petal for colorfastness and finish changes.
4. Choose a cleaning method. Durable washable foliage may tolerate a damp cloth or gentle rinse. Delicate arrangements are better handled with minimal moisture or a cleaner made for artificial foliage.
